If you’re reading this you are learning our latest announcement a day early! The gents who operate Black Mountain Escape in the basement of The Junction have made an interesting discovery. Apparently there will be a reading of the missing last will and testament of J.W. McKoy during the month of October. This is significant because someone alive in 2019 (100 years after his death!) might just be the heir to his fortune!
The Future is History
More than forty friends gathered on the back lawn of The Junction last night for an outdoor movie experiment. It has always been the goal of Jon & Lauri Brooks to create opportunities at The Junction for the community to gather. Last night we projected the classic second movie in the Back to the Future trilogy. That's the one where Marty & Doc are transported 30 years into the future landing at October 21, 2015. So, our timing was good. A neighbor has suggested the Charlie Brown specials as the next family-friendly option. We'll keep you posted!
Design Driven Showcases Architectural Craftsmanship
In the next few weeks, Jose Bello of Design Driven will be showcasing unique pieces from his Black Mountain studio in The Junction. Jose is the artisan behind the work in the Fireplace Room which includes a hand hewn solid wood mantel that incorporates four old railroad spikes found on site during restoration.
